Gelsenkirchen - Jefferson Farfan was disappointed because Schalke 04 gave him a new contract void. However, his love for The Royal Blues are fade-and he was ready to die for the club.
Some time ago, Farfan - whose contract will expire at the end of this season - reportedly will soon sign a contract extension. However, Schalke are surprisingly canceled their proposed bid and is likely to let the players go on the upcoming January transfer window.
"I was surprised because Schalke revoke the offer they gave to me two weeks ago. Mainly because of the love I feel for Schalke and my desire to stay," Bild quoted Farfan said.
"Very bad, because we have very close agreement contract extension and I was intending to do so," said the Peruvian player.
Because it does not get a new contract, Farfan also would not want to be ready to leave the Veltins Arena. 27-year-old striker will consider the offers that come to him.
"Starting in January 2012, I was ready to listen to offers from clubs who are interested. I have no other choice," he said.
"But, obviously, I am ready to die on the field for Schalke and I will fight with all my strength for the fans, to do the best I can do in the Bundesliga," said the former PSV Eindhoven player.
